This 1973 MGB Roadster was bought by Christine in 1991 to use as her personal car.  It has been subject to a "nut and bolt" restoration using a heritage bodyshell.  It is fitted with the standard 1.8 engine, four speed gear box with overdrive and chrome wire wheels.  It was treated as the “baby” of the family and very rarely used in wet conditions!  Later it was used for numerous trips to the Le Mans 24 hr Race and more recently the Le Mans Classic.  In 2004 it achieved 2nd in class at the Chanteloup Concours which was held at Le Mans (pictured).  It was during one of these trips to Le Mans that one of the few problems she has encountered occurred when the rotor arm broke, and in spite of visiting virtually every MGB owner in the Le Mans parking area we were unable to find a replacement.  Salvation finally appeared in the shape of Anglo Spares in Dunkirk who were able to provide a replacement.

When Christine’s daughter, Cara, celebrated her 30th birthday (a few years ago!), her Mum gave her the car knowing that she would give it a good “home” and enjoy it as much as she did.
